Faith
Hospital
Among the major issues that the hospital is facing,
diversity in healthcare practices stands out the
most as it creates chaos in management as well
as in service deliverances. As each member of
the Hospital perceives their roles and duties
differently, their approach to work differs as
well. This stem perhaps from the lack of orientation
of the organizational goals, involvement in religious
and social believes at the group level, as well
as the prevalent unrestricted healthcare practices
have allowed doctors, nurses and patients to choose
whichever method is best for their needs without
any consideration for the Hospital’s policies
or procedures.
For this purpose the researcher suggest the development
of a procedure plan and conducting an in-house
training session that would re-emphasize on the
values, cultures and practices adopted at Faith
Hospital. Furthermore, patients who are the most
important members of the hospital as they bring
in revenue as well as business should be briefed
on the hospital policy for treatment before any
kind of treatment takes place to avoid legal suits.
Last but not least the employees and partners
should be made aware of the importance of following
procedures by tying it with the organization’s
Mission Statement. Following the values and vision
inherent in the Mission Statement would clarify
the directives necessary for achieving success
for the hospital.
Accountability is one aspect that needs to be
developed and measures as performance appraisals
so that the entities working in the hospital realize
their contributory roles. Consequently, they would
be directed towards achieving the Hospital’s
mission with least deviation.
