| I am currently
enrolled at the Parsons School of design in NYC;
this school is well known for fashion design majors.
Lots of famous designers like Anna Sui, Marc Jacobs,
Tom Ford, and Donna Karen have graduated or studied
at Parsons. I came to Parsons to study fashion
because I always dreamed to be in a fashion industry.
However, I have found out that making clothes
for people and my love for clothes are totally
different, so I chose Communication Design as
my major field through out my college year.
Now, I am planning to go London to study Fashion
Merchandising & Communication. This is something
which I have never done before but I have always
dreamed about. I know it is kind of late (because
I will be senior in September) to apply for study
for a foreign degree, but I have made up my mind
to go to London and start a new.
My aims after joining the institute are to become
a MD, buyer or editor in fashion industry. Throughout,
my childhood fashion designing was in my blood,
when I was in kindergarten I made clothes for
Barbie dolls from my mom's torn clothes, or from
towel’s, left over fabric that was lying
around the house. I used to design those clothes
on sketch book and colored them with crayons.
When I entered elementary school, I saved coins
which my mother used to give me, and went to book
store to buy fashion magazines. By simulating
celebrities' styles and sometime drawing them,
I created my own design on sketch book. After
I got in to High school, I was in charge of managing
stage design and custom design.
From what I have mentioned above and the amount
of knowledge and experience that came to me self
from my own explorations and learning I am quite
capable of accomplishing my objectives. Although
I had changed my line of interest before I am
now confident that my current pursuits is the
one that I am hoping to accomplish.
